N Where Norrie wins
- •Twenty people free, for as long as you like. Ciao! gives you three.
- •Question packs give each person a set of things to fill in: gift ideas, their pets, life events, work. Ciao! has one plain notes field per friend.
- •It runs in any browser, so it works on Android or a laptop. Ciao! is iPhone only.
Where Ciao! wins
- •A rhythm for each friend, like every three weeks, counted from the last time you talked. Norrie’s own site says it does not track follow-up cadences.
- •No sign-up. Norrie needs an account and keeps your notes on its servers. Ciao! keeps them on your phone and in your own iCloud.
- •$9.99 once. Norrie Pro is $60 every year.
Which one should you actually get?
Pick Norrie if you want to keep a lot of detail about people, in a browser, on any device, and twenty free people matters to you. Pick Ciao! if what you need is a nudge when a friend has gone quiet, on an iPhone, with no account and one payment.
