R Where Ringur wins
- •It sets the rhythm for you. Your inner circle comes up every week, close friends every month, then every quarter and every year.
- •Premium writes a daily card with a reason to get in touch, based on your history with that person.
- •It runs on Android, which Ciao! does not, and it reminds you of life events as well as birthdays.
Where Ciao! wins
- •It is on the iPhone today. Ringur only has a waitlist for iOS.
- •No account. Ringur asks you to sign in with Google or an email address.
- •One notification a week with everyone who is due. Ringur sends one every day.
Which one should you actually get?
If you are on Android, Ringur is the one to try. It is free to start and it picks the rhythm for you. If you are on an iPhone, Ringur is not out yet. Ciao! also fits people who would rather sit down with their friends once a week than get a nudge every day.
