Their own note says the apps keep working, and asks you to open Settings, then Export All Contacts, to get a copy of your data. Do that part first.

The UpHabit rows come from the company’s own closing note, published on uphabit.com on 9 April 2026, because the App Store listing has been taken down. Nothing here is taken from another app’s reviews.
What UpHabit did that Ciao! does not
- •It held your work contacts too, with tags and follow-ups. Ciao! does not do any of that.
- •Your data is still inside it until you export it, so go and get that first.
- •It ran for eight years. If you want the whole of it back, look at Dex or Monica, not at Ciao!.
Where Ciao! wins
- •There is no server of mine, so there is nothing for me to switch off. If I stopped tomorrow, the app on your phone would carry on.
- •No account to make, and one payment of $9.99 rather than a subscription.
- •Notes about each person, shown at the moment you are about to write to them.
Is Ciao! the right landing place?
Only for one part of it. If what you miss is the nudge to call your sister, and the note about what she said last time, that is the whole of what Ciao! does. If you need the work side back, this is not it, and I would rather say so now.
