R Where Recalla wins
- •20 people free, and Pro is $2.99 once, for unlimited people.
- •It runs on Android. Ciao! is iPhone only, so on an Android phone Recalla is the one you can actually use.
- •Speak a voice note and it goes into the right thread. With the AI add-on, it turns voice into notes and gives you a Quick Brief before you meet someone.
Where Ciao! wins
- •Recalla is about remembering people you meet. Ciao! is about friends you already have: each one gets a rhythm, like every 3 weeks, and a timer from the last time you talked.
- •One deck on Sunday with the friends who are due, and WhatsApp, Message and Call buttons right there.
- •Your notes are also kept in your own iCloud, so a lost phone does not take them with it. Recalla keeps everything on the phone, with no cloud.
Which one should you actually get?
If your phone is an Android, get Recalla, because Ciao! does not run there. It is also the better fit if you meet a lot of new people and want to remember who they are, and its Pro costs less than Ciao!. If you are on iPhone and the job is staying close to old friends on a steady rhythm, get Ciao!.
