What amiqo did well
- •Your friends are in it with you. They tap "I’m in" to join your class, and the photo you send after lands on their home screen.
- •It still notices when a friend has gone quiet and offers you an opener. Only you see that part.
- •It is free on iPhone and Android, with no feed and no ads.
Where Ciao! wins
- •Ciao! is still about friends, whatever you do together. It works for the ones you only ever call or text.
- •Nobody else is in the app. Your friends never learn it exists.
- •No account. Your notes stay on your phone and in your own iCloud.
Which one should you actually get?
If you want friends to come to classes and runs with you, amiqo is made for that now, and it is free. If you were looking for the friendship app it used to be, Ciao! does that job: a rhythm per friend, a weekly deck, and notes, with nobody else in the app.
