I What Intact did well
- •It was written for friends who drift apart after school or university, and it set a reminder for each person.
- •Everything stayed on the phone. Nothing went to the cloud, and it worked with no mobile data.
- •It reminded you about important dates, and it kept a history of each time you were in touch.
Where Ciao! wins
- •Ciao! is in the App Store today and still gets updates.
- •Your notes live on your phone and in your own iCloud, so a lost phone does not take them with it.
- •A weekly deck on Sunday and an animal for each friend, on top of the reminder per person.
Which one should you actually get?
Intact is gone, and it was only ever on Android. If you have an iPhone and liked its idea, a reminder per friend with your data kept private, Ciao! works the same way and adds a weekly deck. On Android you need something else, because Ciao! is iPhone only.
