Ciao! vs Luper
Luper, by Luper Technologies
A contact reminder app from 2014. You set a "lup" for each person, weekly, monthly or quarterly, and it filled in the call, text or email for you to send.
Closed. Its website no longer loads and it is gone from the App Store. It ran on iPhone and Android.

L What Luper did well
- •It gave the habit a name. Each person had a "lup": weekly, monthly or quarterly.
- •When it was time, the call, text or email was already filled in. You only pressed send.
- •It worked on Android as well as iPhone.
Where Ciao! wins
- •It is on the App Store today and still gets updates.
- •The same rhythm for each friend, with a timer that starts again every time you talk.
- •A note for each friend comes back when you get in touch, so you know what to ask about.
Which one should you actually get?
Luper has closed, so you cannot get it anymore. If you liked its idea, a rhythm for each person and a quick way to reach them, Ciao! does that on iPhone with WhatsApp, Message and Call buttons. If you need Android, Ciao! is not the answer, and you should look for an app that runs there.
