Ciao! vs Moments
Moments AI: Personal Assistant, by Scheduled B.V.
It launched in 2023 as an AI app for keeping in touch with people, and today it is a general AI assistant that chats, drafts messages and records meetings.
No ratings in the App Store, October 2026. iPhone and the web. It has moved away from friends: the App Store page now sells a personal AI assistant, and its website sells follow-ups for business contacts.

What Moments did well
- •It drafts WhatsApp, SMS and email replies in your voice, and you review them before sending. Ciao! never writes a message for you.
- •It plugs into your calendar, email and contacts, so the assistant knows who you met without you typing it in.
- •Reminders in plain words: "Remind me to call Sarah Friday at 3" and it is set.
Where Ciao! wins
- •It is only about friends. Moments now covers meetings, your inbox and AI agents, and keeping up with people is one line in its listing.
- •No account and no server of its own. Your notes stay on your phone and in your own iCloud.
- •A rhythm for each friend and a deck on Sunday of who is due. You write the message yourself, in your own words.
Which one should you actually get?
The friend-keeping app that Moments started as is gone, and what is left is a general AI assistant. If you want an assistant that drafts your replies and sums up your meetings, it may still suit you. If you came for a gentle weekly nudge about your friends, with private notes and nothing to sign up for, Ciao! is built for that one job.
