Ciao! vs Popple
Popple - Stay Connected, by Circles Manager LLC
A free iPhone app with reminders to stay in touch, notes, tags and special days, made so your data never left your phone.
Removed from the App Store: it does not appear in any store we checked on 2 October 2026, and popple.app now belongs to an unrelated app. Its last archived site is from 2021.

P What Popple did well
- •Your data never left your phone, and you could export it whenever you wanted.
- •Free to use, with premium as a way to support the developer.
- •Tags to sort friends into groups, and notes to pin the key details about each one.
Where Ciao! wins
- •One digest on Sunday, where Popple sent a reminder for each person.
- •An animal for each friend, with 6 moods that show how long it has been.
- •Your notes are on your phone and also in your own iCloud, so a lost phone does not take them with it.
Which one should you actually get?
Popple is no longer in the App Store. Ciao! is close to what it offered: an iPhone app, no account, your data kept to yourself, reminders and notes. The differences are one digest on Sunday, a copy of your notes in your own iCloud, and a one-time $9.99 after 3 friends.
