Q What Qualitimes did well
- •You chose how often to stay in touch with each person. That is the same core idea as Ciao!, back in 2015.
- •Reminders could follow the way you usually reach each person, so a call and a message were not treated the same.
- •You picked the tone of the reminder, from gentle to aggressive. Ciao! has one tone, and it is the gentle one.
Where Ciao! wins
- •You can download it today. Qualitimes is no longer on the App Store.
- •One notification a week, on Sunday, with a deck of only the friends who are due. Swipe right when you’ve talked.
- •Notes for each friend that come back when you get in touch, and an animal per friend that wakes up when you talk.
Which one should you actually get?
Qualitimes is gone: there is no App Store listing, and its domain is for sale. If what you liked was setting how often to talk to each person, Ciao! does that with a rhythm per friend and a timer from the last time you talked. Ciao! only ever reminds gently, so if you want an app that pushes hard, it is not that.
