R Where Remember Your People wins
- •It opens in any browser, on a phone, a tablet or a computer. Ciao! is iPhone only.
- •You can share a note with family or friends, so two people can keep the same memories about someone.
- •A self-hosted plan lets you run the whole thing on your own server.
Where Ciao! wins
- •Ciao! reminds you. Each friend has a rhythm, and on Sunday you see who is due. Remember Your People’s site talks about notes and says nothing about reminders.
- •You can buy Ciao! today, $9.99 once. Remember Your People’s Premium cannot be bought right now.
- •No account and nothing to log in to. Your notes sit on your phone and in your own iCloud.
Which one should you actually get?
If you want notes about people in a browser, on any device, and you would like to share some of them with family, Remember Your People fits, though for now the free plan holds five notes. If you want to be reminded to get back in touch, on an iPhone, Ciao! is built around that.
