Ciao! vs FriendApp
FriendApp Contacts - Free CRM, by Realified Inc.
An iPhone app that sat on top of your contacts, with lists by priority and by city, notes you could search, and group texts sent through SMS or WhatsApp.
Removed from the App Store: its page does not load in any store we checked on 2 October 2026, and friendapp.com now leads to the founder’s newsletter.

F What FriendApp did well
- •Lists by location, so you could pull up everyone you know in one city.
- •Group texts by SMS or WhatsApp to many friends at once, still sent by you.
- •It worked straight from the contacts on your iPhone, with notes you could search.
Where Ciao! wins
- •Each friend gets a rhythm, like every 3 weeks, and a timer that counts from the last time you talked.
- •A deck on Sunday with only the friends who are due, so you do not have to scroll a list to decide who to message.
- •An animal for each friend, with 6 moods, and notes that come back when you get in touch.
Which one should you actually get?
FriendApp is gone from the App Store, so you cannot download it anymore. If what you liked was texting a whole group at once, the groups in Messages and WhatsApp still do that. If you want a weekly nudge about the friends you have not spoken to in a while, with notes for next time, Ciao! is built for that.
